lol Moar Long Entry

This morning, I couldn't remember if the demo practice was at 11:00 or 11:30. And I kept doing that whole.. climb out of bed, shut off the alarm for half an hour and go back to sleep thing. Did that about four times? xD I need to go to bed earlier. :\

Anyways, I got up around 9:45 to get ready.. at one point, I thought it would be a good idea to check the calendar to make sure of the times and such. So I went to my car to get it out of the book, and in fact, it was 11:00. Not 11:30. D8 So I had to rush to get everything together. But it went fine and such.

Got to class on time. Practiced my.. two scenes I'm in and holding a board for Jason. I attacked Savannah, and did the red belt form. Then we went through the whole awards ceremony. Dude, my knees and legs were so cramped. Dx And it made part of my back/neck hurt for some reason? XD I dunno. I got the May Student of the Month award. :o Mrs. Stancil talked about me being the "spear head" for the Everything finale we did for Meet in the Street and taking on the main girl role and whatnot. :x Yay thanks. I should post that video...

Demo went fine. We took serious pictures. And then we took the random goofy ones.. I picked up Miranda for one round. xD Then I tried to pick up Jake, but he kept arching his back/flailing and fell both times. :C

Then I got changed.. I didn't really want to go to Moes and Adventure Landing. The last thing I needed to do was spend my hard earned money on more mindless entertainment. I did that at the Grange.. I'll be good for awhile. And the only thing I really like at Moe's is $8, and that's expensive.

So my first stop was Staples to scan a commission. My scanner isn't cooperating, and I needed that thing scanned asap so I could work on it asap. It only costs $.25 per "document" scanned. :o And I had my flashdrive, so the lady was able to put it directly on the drive.

I kept getting "Did you draw that?" questions. And I can't tell if it was a compliment, or if they were debating if I had rights to scan it. :| See, Walmart just did that with my prints, too! They're like "You need to fill out this document and fax it to us" so they know I have the copyright to.. my picture. Then Fuji calls back a couple days later and asks for it too. And I'm just like "YES I HAVE THE RIGHTS. I MADE IT. D8" Iroonnyy..

So yeah, when they were all "Is this yours?" I was like "Yup. Yes." Again. "It's a commission I made. My scanner broke." Blah blah. lawl.

But it was all taken care of. I got some big envelopes so I could send the sketches out to the people who ordered them, too. I looked around a little, then left. I saw a Now Hiring sign at Petsmart. :O (I applied when I got home. :B I love animals and Petsmart.) Then I drove over to the Marquee to check my schedule.

Mark has me down for 6-10 Wednesday night. ... $26.20. :| Take out taxes, and it's probably around $23 or so? Now, I won't just hang around Raleigh all day after my class, so I'll go home. That means I'll have to drive out again. That makes gas money around... $3.50. So I'm relatively down to $19.50. I'd eat at home, so I probably wouldn't have to get a snack or anything. It's only four hours.

But you know what? I do one character sketches, which usually get colored on the computer for about $20. No taxes taken out, no gas money spent, and they literally take about 3-4 hours altogether to do when I'm on a roll. And it's something I enjoy doing.

... D8 Not cool. Not cool at all.

I would totally do freelancing and commissions for a living. xD But the demand for pictures isn't quite as high, and compared to other people on dA, I have a miniscule "fanbase" lawl. I should make more Neopets comics and try some more.. cool stuff in art to just get more interest. Man.

BUT MAYBE PETSMART WILL CALL BACK. 8D Dude, they have *14* positions open. One of the ones available was cashiering and the position where you handle the animals, clean pens, ect. I lurve animals! And I'm comfortable working with everything they have. Except spiders if they have those. D8 But all the things on the application I was fine with. :B I dunno how many people would apply for this sort of thing.. I can see the people who just want a simple job looking into the cashiering more than handling animals.

I dunno. It'd be a nice change though. I love movies. And I love animals. And I could see all kinds of cool dogs and study them as they walk by. :O And play with things like hamsters and birds. :B AND THE CATS! THEY HAVE CATS! <3!

And get paid to chase specific fish around with nets in their tanks. :B

... But I did put my availability for Tuesdays and Thursdays, too. If I get it? Well, I don't know how it might affect TKD. Depends on the shifts. But at this point, I can't turn down a job offer for something I'm pretty much.. "done" with. Yaknow? Sacrifices, moving on, putting money away for emergencies, college, and apparently retirement as well. xD

Anyways.

I was hungry, but I had spent a good amount of time at Staples and then work, and I didn't even recognize any vehicles in the Moe's parking lot. :x Even if anyone was still there, they were probably finishing up. So.. I went to Arby's for some loaded potato things.

I was bummed to see the tea was even more expensive there, and the potato things weren't cheap either. -_- But.. I was dumb and got them anyways. Then the guy gave me only four, when I was supposed to have five, and said they were out and asked me to pull up and wait while they make more.

... That happened last time I ordered those, too. :\

But I stayed anyways. I mean, what store is gonna give me *one* more potato bite? XD They'd probably give me more for my "inconvenience." lawl. ... But this place is always slow. I even turned my car off 'cause I didn't want it to melt itself again or something. Ten minutes later.. I'm a patient person. I keep myself entertained with my thoughts forever. But.. this is supposed to be fast food. xD And last time, mom went in and gave them a hard time about it.

I decided that if I wanted my darn potato bites, that I'd have to go in and get them myself. But I'd do it nicely, because I hate it when people are jerks to me at work for something I can't necessarily control. So I get out of my car to go ask what's up, and then the guy meets me on the sidewalk. xD He was all "I'm so sorry! So sorry! They didn't tell me they were done! I'm sorry!" ... And he kept saying that. xD I was nice and told him it was okay and stuff.

I know mom would have been throwing a fit or something. Yeah, it's supposed to be fast food, but people make mistakes. Things don't always go super smooth. And for crying out loud, they were potato bites. I'm not gonna chew off someone's head for shorting me a potato bite and asking me to wait while they make more.

Besides. I knew if I stuck around, there'd be more than one potato bite in there. :B

And I was right. There was FIVE. Ooolala. I got nine for the price of five. C: Soyay, it's all good.

So I went home. My prints from Shutterfly arrived! See, when I signed up, they offered 50 4x6 and one 11x14 collage poster for free. So I did that, and it was cool. My prints of Asarin's Explodey Face thing came out weird. I wish I understood the printing colors better, because it's really wonky. The other ones were okay... My poster was shipped separate and hasn't come yet. And the other poster from Walmart hasn't come either. :\ Maybe tomorrow?

And my Dreamweaver book finally came, too. SO MANY WORDS. D:

Aaaand.. I need to wash my car.
