ACT = Secret Society lol?

◦ Currently Feeling... tired, of course.
◦ Listening To: Movie soundtrack station on Winamp.
◦ Eating/Drinking: Coke.

I had to drag myself outta bed really early this morning. (I didn't sleep well. First two hours was devoted to some "loud" dream about escaping men and bugs.) Woke up at 6:00. AM. On a Saturday. It's like... a sin. But why? Because I had to drive about 45 minutes away to a school in Raleigh to take the ACT.

Due to the lack of traffic, I got there in like.. half an hour. Go me. Gas prices were around $3.99. D:

Anyways. I got there, pulled in and parked, and got all my stuff together. We weren't allowed to take like.. anything with us. Leaving my sexy new sketchbook in the car was like.. harder than the test. :< Then I followed the crowd. D: I hate following the crowd. But sometimes the crowd is right.

And I waited in line.

It was weird. Because everyone was quiet. Barely anyone knew each other. And it was a silly long line that struck me as the doom and gloom line to check into some emo center of some sort.

And let's not forget I'm probably the only one decked out in black with a fedora and dice earrings. I totally stood out. xD But that's okay. I hate being "normal."

So right, I checked in, and found the room I was supposed to be in. Oh no, assigned seats. D: ... But somehow, I got a seat in the last row near the back corner. <3 Maybe it was assigned by like.. last names or something? *shrug* I was glad to have a seat in the back though. I like to be able to look around. I hate people staring at me from behind. xD

The test was pretty much in the same format as the Iowa testings I do. Understanding it was easy. I was pretty much sworn to secrecy as far as the contents of the tests. xD I found it funny. They were so strict and so hardcore and so.. secretive about the test. And every time we moved onto something else, it would be more hardcore "Don't look around, don't do anything I don't tell you to do, no illegal calculators, don't tell anyone about what you read, blah blah blah." :|

I finished the English section easily. I understand it. I probably did fine on it. The math section? ... Dang, I am math impaired. I probably did.. bad. I didn't understand half of the questions. Sometimes I'd look at a symbol and be like "What does that mean?" xD It is a well known fact that I suck at math. So I didn't take it too hard.. They're all multiple choice stuff, so like.. there's a 20% chance I got it right? Okayokay, I made educated guesses. But I will admit, some were outright guesses.

Reading Comprehension was pretty easy. Unfortunately I'm not a fast reader, so I cut it real close, but yeah. Science? Uh.. Man. I'm not used to the systems they used for graphs, ect, and that somehow happens on all these kinds of tests I take. And of course, some of the stuff was just.. over my head. xD

And I took the writing part of the test, too. The lady like.. gave us the test booklet with the question inside and was like "Do not break the seal until I say you can." And I was like "lol breaking seals." Sounded like some crazy secret society deal again. That's also my crazy imagination eating at my sleep deprived brain at the same time, yeah..

My essay question.. well, I'm not allowed to tell you what it was. I had to copy down this thing in cursive and sign it saying I wouldn't tell anyone what it was. .. Writing that stupid thing in cursive was harder than the essay, because 1, the essay was stupidly simple, and 2, I can't write in cursive correctly to save my life. It's halfway inbetween print and cursive, and some of it's uncapitalized or something 'cause I can't remember what certain letters look like. xD Saaad.. I knooow..

But we had half an hour to write this essay. I read the question formed a basic outline.. and wondered if it was really that simple. Dumb question. I was just like.. eeeeaaassy answer. I had read the question, written my quick outline, and finished the essay in about 18 minutes. Mrs. Davis' essays were way harder.

And it wasn't but five more minutes and most of the class was done too. :\ How am I supposed to demonstrate my literature knowledge I about died obtaining with a question like that? :|

I do hope I did well. The score goes directly to SCAD. But I can't help it if I did poorly. Maybe my awesomeness on the English section will outweigh my fail on the Math section. xD *Shrug* Hopin' for the best.

Walking out of there was kinda strange. I dunno why.. I had visited the place yesterday to figure out where I was going, yeah, but I had gone, signed in, taken the test, and backtracked all the way back entirely on my own. I didn't know anyone there. But I was fine with it. One girl, who sat in front of me, talked to me a little, but that was it.

I stopped at Petsmart on the way home, because I was gonna try to bug a manager about my application. But the adoptathon thing was going on, and the store was pretty busy. I figured now might not be the best time.. so I left. But the hiring sign for the position I applied for was still up.

And passing through town, I saw Seri walking on the side of the road. I was like lolwhut? So I pulled into a shopping center around the corner to wait to see if it was really her. As I was waiting, I saw the top of our massive van over the bushes.. xD Mom was headed towards the baseball fields, so I figured Seri was meeting her there or something. So I drove up there, and everyone was like "lol, hay!" ... Totally. Just like that.

I ended up taking Seri, Caden, and Caressa home. And Seri screwed around with all the stuff on my dashboard and made fun of my soundtrack music, as usual. Whatevah.

And I'm exhausted. I think I'm gonna take a nap...

So that was you sitting in that parking lot. lol. I was like "that looks like Lacee's car" but then I was like "no, it can't be because mom said that Seri was meeting her mom somewhere up here (I was guessing baseball feilds), and why would Lacee be up here if they were doing that?" haha. dunno, just thought it was weird.
